Senior HR Operations Director
A leading global investment firm seeking an experienced Senior HR Operations Director to oversee and enhance its global Human Capital operations, systems, and compliance functions.
This is a newly created, high-impact role within a growing organization with operations spanning the globe. This individual will play a critical role in building scalable HR infrastructure, optimizing processes, and supporting the firm's continued growth. The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR Operations leader who combines deep technical expertise with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, challenge existing processes, introduce efficiencies, and take genuine ownership of the function.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Lead end-to-end global HR operations, including employee lifecycle management, onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HR service delivery.
• Oversee HRIS platforms, people systems, data integrity, and integrations with payroll and finance; identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Direct global payroll (currently outsourced), benefits administration, and mobility operations, managing third-party providers and ensuring accuracy and compliance across jurisdictions.
• Support annual compensation, performance management, and promotion cycles through effective systems, processes, and reporting.
• Oversee employment compliance, policies, regulatory filings, audits, and HR controls across international offices.
• Develop scalable HR processes and infrastructure to support the firm's continued expansion.
• Build and maintain HR analytics, dashboards, and reporting on headcount, attrition, workforce costs, and hiring.
• Manage external vendors, contracts, and the HR Operations budget.
• Partner closely with senior leadership and the broader Human Capital team on strategic initiatives and operational priorities.
• Help build and develop the HR Operations function as the organization grows.
Ideal Candidate
• 15+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong background in global HR operations, systems, and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree required; relevant HR certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience within financial services or another highly regulated environment strongly preferred.
• Significant experience overseeing multi-country payroll, benefits, and HR operations, with familiarity across global locations.
• Strong HRIS expertise; experience implementing, integrating, or optimizing an HRIS platform is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, multiple external vendors, and competing priorities.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience developing HR metrics, reporting, and operational controls.
• Exceptional judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential employee and compensation information.
• Polished communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with senior executives and stakeholders.
• A proactive, resourceful, and hands-on approach. Someone who is comfortable operating independently, identifying opportunities for improvement, and building processes rather than simply maintaining them.
