Product Analytics & Decision Science Lead

We’re partnering with a retail and ecommerce company looking for a Product Analytics & Decision Science Lead to help solve complex business questions across its digital shopping experience. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work with raw customer data, identify what’s driving performance, and turn findings into clear business recommendations.

Key Highlights:

Pay: $100–$115/hr
Location: San Francisco (on-site)
Duration: ASAP–January 29, 2027

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze raw clickstream and event-level data to uncover customer behavior, shopping friction, and growth opportunities.
Evaluate pricing, promotions, merchandising, assortment, inventory, and digital customer journeys.
Measure business impact when traditional A/B testing isn’t possible, using approaches such as incrementality analysis, matched controls, difference-in-differences, and synthetic controls.
Identify the drivers behind changes in revenue, conversion, margin, and customer value.
Partner with Product, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, and Data teams to translate findings into actionable recommendations.

What We’re Looking For:‍

Strong hands-on SQL skills and experience analyzing raw clickstream and event-level data.
Retail ecommerce analytics experience, with an understanding of how customer behavior connects to commercial performance.
Experience with advanced measurement and causal inference beyond standard reporting and dashboards.
Ability to frame complex business questions, select the right analytical approach, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
