HRIS Associate
Our client, a prestigious corporate services firm, is searching for a HRIS/ HR Automation Associate who can also shape how HR gets done. Reporting directly to the HR Director, you will own core generalist work and help build smarter, more automated HR workflows using AI.
This role suits someone who is already using AI and automation in their day-to-day HR work and wants to apply it at a larger scale. You do not need to be an IT expert, but you should understand HR systems well and know how to improve a process, not just run it. You will also be a self-starter who takes ownership and leads without waiting for direction.
What you will do
• Evaluate current HR workflows and identify where automation and AI can save time, reduce manual work, and improve the employee experience
• Design, build, and roll out improved processes and AI-supported tools across the HR function
• Lead new hire onboarding and the first 90 days experience, and manage exit processes
• Assist with open enrollment, benefits administration, leave tracking, and HRIS data accuracy
• Support performance management cycles and coach managers
• Build manager toolkits and playbooks
• Maintain and improve HR policies, documentation, and standard operating procedures
• Mentor and guide HR associates and coordinators
• Support employee engagement programs and assist with light recruiting
What you bring
• 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Associate, or HRBP support role (an HRIS Analyst background is welcome if you also understand HR across the full employee lifecycle)
• Hands-on experience using AI and/or automation in your HR work
• Experience creating, improving, or automating HR workflows and processes
• Solid working knowledge of HRIS platforms (UKG, ADP, or similar)
• Working knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ADA) and California employment law
• Benefits exposure and some mentoring or management experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
