Assistant Technical Designer

Our client, a wholesale apparel manufacturing company is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:‍

Assist with the development and maintenance of tech packs and technical specifications
Support fit sessions and communicate fit comments and revisions
Review samples for measurements, construction, and overall fit
Partner with Design, Product Development, and overseas vendors throughout the development process
Track sample submissions, revisions, and approvals to meet deadlines
Help maintain accurate product and technical information
Communicate updates and follow up with vendors as needed
Assist with resolving fit and construction issues throughout development

Qualifications:‍

1-2 years of technical design, product development, or related apparel experience
Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and measurements
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesStrong communication and follow-up skills
Fashion/apparel degree or equivalent experience preferred
