Production & Sourcing Manager

Our client, an elevated childrenswear apparel manufacturer is seeking a Production & Sourcing Manager to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:‍

Oversee the full production lifecycle from initial development through final production and delivery.
Manage production across multiple factories and international sourcing partners.
Lead costing and negotiations to achieve competitive pricing while maintaining product quality and design integrity.
Develop and maintain production calendars, ensuring key milestones and delivery dates are met.
Partner closely with overseas factories and quality teams to monitor production and resolve issues.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Sales, and other internal teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Review tech packs and identify potential production, construction, costing, or development concerns.
Understand the cost implications of design and material changes and recommend solutions that balance creative direction with commercial goals.
Ensure vendor and factory compliance requirements and documentation remain current.
Build and maintain strong relationships with factories, vendors, and suppliers.
Troubleshoot production challenges and proactively identify solutions.
Travel internationally to factories and sourcing partners as needed.

Qualifications:‍

5+ years of apparel production and sourcing experience.
Strong background in children’s apparel, including both knits and wovens.
Experience with denim and woven product is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of overseas production, costing, sourcing, and vendor management.
Experience managing high-volume product and complex production calendars.
Excellent negotiation, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Strong proficiency in Excel.
Experience working with major retailers or mass-market accounts is a plus.

Salary: $120,000k-$130,000k commensurate with experience
