Proofreader

We’re working with a creative agency seeking an experienced Proofreader to support a fast-paced team on a short-term contract. This role will focus on proofreading copy and reviewing layouts across a variety of creative deliverables.

Candidates must be based in Canada and available to work regular business hours from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.x

Key Highlights

Location: Remote within Canada
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Pay: 40-50 CAD/hr
Start Date: As soon as Possible
Duration: Through the end of August, with the possibility of extending through mid-September

What You’ll Do‍

Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, punctuation, consistency, and accuracy
Review creative layouts to ensure copy is correctly placed and formatted
Identify errors and inconsistencies before materials are finalized
Manage reviews and feedback through digital workflow and proofing tools
Collaborate with agency teams to keep projects moving accurately and efficiently

Qualifications‍

Previous proofreading experience within a Canadian advertising, marketing, or creative agency
Experience reviewing both copy and creative layouts
Comfortable working with digital proofing and workflow tools; Workfront and Verify experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
Availability to work regular 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. hours
Canadian French language skills are a plus but not required
Healthcare or medical proofreading experience is a plus but not required
