Housekeeper

A Private Client is looking for a Housekeeper for their NYC residences who can maintain the properties to the highest standards or cleanliness, organization, and presentation.

The Housekeeper is an essential position for this household. This person must be a self-starter responsible for maintaining multiple homes. Maintaining cleanliness in a clean and organized manner to support how the environment looks and feels. The cleanliness of the property is of high priority. High housekeeping standards are expected. Execute the daily interior and exterior cleaning. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and privacy of the principal and family at all times. Report directly and facilitate operations with the Estate Manager with regard to all matters.


Responsibilities

-Maintain the private estate to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
-Perform daily housekeeping, including: making beds, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, & disinfecting, cleaning bathrooms & floors, laundry, ironing, & garment care.
-Properly care for antiques, furniture, rugs, carpeting, fabrics, and drapes.
-Prepare guest rooms and accommodations for family and guests.
-Provide light housekeeping and linen service during guest stays.
-Complete deep-cleaning projects and special housekeeping tasks as needed.
-Assist with household and equipment inventory.
-Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment and notify the Estate Manager when items need replenishment or maintenance.
-Run household errands as needed.
-Provide occasional support with family pets.
-Assist with storm preparation and securing outdoor furniture, games, and cushions.
-Support special events, including setup and breakdown of furniture, food, toys, and other items.
-Assist with meal preparation and serving for social events.
-Perform additional duties and special projects as requested by the Principal or Estate Manager.


Qualifications:

-Professional, discreet, trustworthy, organized, energetic, and detail-oriented
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Comfortable around children and pets
-Physically capable of performing housekeeping duties
-Knowledge of cleaning products, tools, laundry, and garment care
-Reliable transportation and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
-Willing to undergo a thorough background check
-Previous private-home or yacht housekeeping experience preferred
-Proficiency with Mac, Microsoft Office, email, iPhone, and internet
-College degree is a plus
