Technical Designer

Our client, a wholesale apparel manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:‍

Partner with cross-functional teams.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and product details.
Review design concepts and samples to ensure construction, fit, and quality standards are met.
Evaluate prototypes and production samples.
Collaborate with internal teams and overseas vendors.
Track development milestones and help ensure projects remain on schedule.
Support fittings by measuring garments, documenting changes, and updating specifications.
Maintain accurate product information and technical records.

Qualifications:‍

5+ years of experience.
Need experience working with sleepwear.
Experience using PLM systems and managing technical packages.
Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, grading, and apparel manufacturing processes.
Ability to evaluate fit, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions.
Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
