Assistant Designer

Our client, a wholesale apparel manufacturer is seeking an Assistant Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:‍

Support the design and development process.
Conduct trend, fabric, trim, and market research.
Assist with creating and maintaining design and technical documentation.
Communicate with internal teams and overseas partners regarding product development and samples.
Support fabric, trim, hardware, and material sourcing and development.
Maintain organized sample, fabric, and showroom resources.
Assist with CAD updates, artwork, and other design-related projects as needed.
Collaborate with the design and technical teams to ensure products are developed accurately and efficiently.
Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:‍

2+ years of experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong design, sketching, and visual communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Creative, collaborative, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
