Assistant Designer
Our client, a wholesale apparel manufacturer is seeking an Assistant Designer to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Support the design and development process.
- Conduct trend, fabric, trim, and market research.
- Assist with creating and maintaining design and technical documentation.
- Communicate with internal teams and overseas partners regarding product development and samples.
- Support fabric, trim, hardware, and material sourcing and development.
- Maintain organized sample, fabric, and showroom resources.
- Assist with CAD updates, artwork, and other design-related projects as needed.
- Collaborate with the design and technical teams to ensure products are developed accurately and efficiently.
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong design, sketching, and visual communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative, collaborative, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
