Assistant Designer- Girls/Juniors

The Assistant Designer supports the design team in developing and executing collections from concept to production, assisting with sketches, sample tracking, and technical package creation.

Responsibilities:
Produce sketches for developed styles
Conduct trend research aligned with brand direction
Build and maintain technical packages, including sketches, reference images, and detailed specifications; update throughout all stages of development
Communicate daily with overseas vendors regarding samples, trims, and fabric development
Track, manage, and document samples, including photographing for reference
Maintain seasonal fabric yardage and swatch libraries
Keep showroom organized, updated, and presentable
Support the design and development of brand hardware
Source new fabrics, initiate color development, and submit artwork for sample yardage
Organize and maintain the fabric room
Source trims from local markets as needed
Assist in dyeing trims for in-house sample development
Support CAD updates and revisions when required


Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field
2+ years of relevant experience in apparel design
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel
Strong sketching and CAD skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Creative with a strong eye for design and trends

$50-65k base range
