Employee Relations Specialist
A leading global hedge fund is seeking an exceptionally sharp, seasoned Employee Relations Specialist to join a high-caliber team. Operating as a critical Individual Contributor, this is an autonomous, highly visible execution role where you will be managing complex, sensitive workplace dynamics from day one. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, navigating gray areas with high emotional intelligence, flawless discretion, and objective legal and HR acumen.
Location: Midtown East, NYC in office Monday – Friday
Hours: Generally between 8:00/8:30 AM – 5:30/6:00 PM.

- Base Salary: $150,000 – $225,000 range (flexible)

Core Responsibilities include
- Independently own, conduct, and document thorough, complex internal investigations.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and senior stakeholders, providing clear, actionable counsel on sensitive situations.
- Navigate high-stakes scenarios with high autonomy, hitting the ground running to resolve matters effectively while maintaining deep alignment with firm-wide standards.
- Evaluate multi-faceted situations, balancing business needs, employment law, and employee well-being to reach outcomes.
Who You Are
- 10+ years of professional experience spanning Employee Relations within Human Resources or a strong employment law/attorney background.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Finance experience is strongly preferred. We are also open to elite Tech, Venture Capital, or similar high-intensity industries.
- A proven history of professional longevity and stability on your resume. You have a track record of staying to see the impact of your decisions.
- A true "doer" and executor who thrives under pressure. You excel in a lean team where no task is too small, and no problem is too complex.
- Excellent communication skills.
