Estate Manager
Prominent UHNW family is seeking a highly organized and proactive Estate Manager to support the day-to-day operations of their private residences in Atherton. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, collaborative household team supporting a UHNW family. The role is primarily focused on estate management with occasional family and personal support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, highly trustworthy, and thrives in a hands-on, fast-moving environment. This is a fully onsite position based in Atherton, CA.
What You’ll Do
• Oversee day-to-day estate operations across two residential properties, ensuring seamless upkeep, organization, and functionality.
• Manage a new construction project, including coordinating vendors, pulling permits, and partnering closely with contractors and external stakeholders.
• Maintain property systems, manuals, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient household operations.
• Communicate directly with principals to align on daily priorities, provide updates, and deliver end-of-day summaries.
• Collaborate with existing household staff (housekeepers, chef, etc.) to support smooth operations.
• Assist with light event coordination, including occasional family dinners or small gatherings.
• Provide light executive and personal assistant support as needed, stepping in when appropriate.
• Monitor and respond to urgent matters outside of standard hours, including limited weekend availability for high-priority needs.
What We’re Looking For
• 3–10+ years of experience in estate management or a similar role within a private household or UHNW environment.
• Experience managing large-scale home construction or renovation projects is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Tech-savvy with experience using organizational tools, web-based applications, and home systems (Savant experience preferred).
• High level of discretion, professionalism, and trustworthiness.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interface directly with principals and vendors.
• Stable career history with solid tenure and excellent references.
• Must be based on the Peninsula or nearby
• Flexible and responsive, with willingness to be accessible for urgent needs outside standard business hours.
Compensation & Benefits
$150,000 – $200,000, depending on experience
• Bonus eligible
