Store Manager
Our client, a rapidly growing luxury retailer specializing in high-end accessories, fine jewelry, and collectible goods, is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead its Aspen boutique. This individual will oversee all aspects of store operations, sales performance, client experience, team leadership, and business development while ensuring the highest standards of luxury service and operational excellence.
The boutique operates year-round, serving both local and seasonal clientele, with the exception of an annual closure during the month of May. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in luxury retail, clienteling, and team management. This person will be responsible for driving revenue, cultivating relationships with high-net-worth clientele, developing a high-performing sales team, and serving as a key representative of the brand within the Aspen luxury community.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the boutique, including staffing, scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and operational compliance.
- Drive store sales performance through active client engagement, relationship building, and support of the sales team in achieving and exceeding goals.
- Deliver an exceptional luxury customer experience while maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism.
- Develop and maintain relationships with VIP clients, local residents, seasonal visitors, and luxury community partners.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and manage store associates to maximize performance and professional development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, client focus, and operational excellence.
- Monitor business performance through analysis of sales results, traffic, conversion, productivity, and other key performance indicators.
- Oversee inventory management, stock organization, shipping and receiving, and operational processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage store expenses and operational budgets while maintaining profitability goals.
- Coordinate client appointments, private shopping experiences, in-store events, and community activations.
- Ensure the boutique environment reflects luxury standards through visual presentation, cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support inventory planning, merchandising initiatives, and overall business objectives.
- Represent the brand within the Aspen luxury market and cultivate opportunities to increase visibility and client acquisition.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of retail experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven success leading luxury retail, fine jewelry, watches, accessories, fashion, or other high-touch client-focused businesses.
- Strong sales leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving revenue growth.
- Demonstrated success building relationships with affluent and high-net-worth clientele.
- Experience overseeing retail operations, inventory management, budgeting, and performance reporting.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and team development capabilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods.
- Experience within luxury retail, jewelry, watches, or premium consumer goods is highly preferred.
