Designer

Our a client, a retail manufacturing company is seeking a Designer for Missy's Dresses to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:‍

upport the development of seasonal product assortments.
Research market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive activity.
Create design concepts, presentation materials, sketches, and development documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development process.
Participate in fit sessions and provide input on product construction, quality, and overall design execution.
Communicate with external partners and vendors.
Assist in the selection and development of materials, trims, prints, and other product details.
Contribute to product presentations and support internal and external meetings as needed.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining development timelines
Stay informed on industry trends.

Qualifications:‍

5+ years of experience.
Ability to translate trends and consumer insights.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and manufacturing partners.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software and digital design tools.
Strong sketching, presentation, and technical communication skills.
Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and the retail landscape.
Bachelors Degree preferred.
