Technical Designer - Women's Activewear

Our client, a growing, design-led apparel company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Women’s Technical Designer to support the development of high-quality activewear and performance-driven collections. The ideal candidate is highly technical, collaborative, and passionate about delivering best-in-class fit, construction, and product execution from initial concept through production.



Key Responsibilities‍

  • Develop and maintain complete technical packages (tech packs) including CADs, measurements, construction details, BOMs, grading, and packaging specifications
  • Lead fit sessions on live models; evaluate fit and provide precise corrections and technical recommendations
  • Partner with patternmakers and overseas factories to review samples and ensure alignment with design intent and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot fit, construction, and production issues throughout the product development cycle
  • Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure consistency in execution, cost, and timelines
  • Apply strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment construction to support product innovation and performance
  • Support quality control standards and ensure all products meet brand requirements for fit, durability, and aesthetic integrity

Qualifications‍

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in technical design within women’s apparel; activewear, performance, or outerwear experience strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and CAD tools
  • Deep understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong measurement accuracy and technical precision
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across design, production, and vendor teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Highly adaptable with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
