Compliance and Risk Administrative Assistant

Our client is a highly regarded, fast-growing firm operating at the intersection of finance, technology, and regulatory excellence. With a strong reputation for integrity and innovation, the organization is investing in scaling its Compliance and Risk Management functions to support continued growth and evolving industry demands.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a newly created, high-impact role supporting the Chief Compliance Officer while helping shape the operational backbone of a fantastic Compliance and Risk team. This is a chance to act as a strategic partner, bringing structure, foresight, and cohesion to a fast-moving, intellectually rigorous environment. The right candidate will play a critical role in building processes, driving efficiency, and elevating how the team operates.

Job Title: Compliance and Risk Administrative Assistant


Location: Hybrid in SF (2 days in-office / 3 days remote)


Compensation: 100-140k + bonus + benefits



Key Responsibilities:


- Manage complex calendaring and scheduling for the CCO, ensuring priorities are aligned and time is optimized
- Coordinate team meetings, communications, and cross-functional touchpoints to maintain alignment and momentum
- Own and streamline the annual compliance manual review process, tracking progress and ensuring deadlines are met
- Lead logistics and execution of the annual compliance meeting, including end-to-end coordination
- Act as a central hub for team operations, ensuring seamless communication and workflow across a distributed team
- Support light travel coordination, primarily for conferences and key events
- Identify process gaps and implement scalable solutions to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist in onboarding and supporting team adoption of new technologies, including emerging AI tools

Ideal Background:


- Minimum 8 years experience supporting C-suite executives in a professional services environment, ideally asset management, financial services, or legal environments
- Prior exposure to Legal or Compliance teams is required
- Strong ability to “manage up” and operate as a proactive, strategic partner
- Demonstrated success building or improving administrative processes and workflows
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage and coordinate across diverse stakeholders
- Resourceful, solutions-oriented mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- A 4-year college degree is required
