Butler/House Manager
A private tech family in Northern California is seeking a Butler / House Manager to work closely with the Estate Manager and Chief of Staff in supporting the family across multiple residences. This role is ideal for someone with luxury hospitality or butler experience who thrives in a hands-on, service-oriented environment and is eager to contribute to the seamless operation of multiple high-end households.
***This is primarily an onsite role on the Peninsula at the family office and residences, with travel to other California properties as needed. Flexibility is required.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-level household service and support across four California residences
• Oversee housekeeping standards to ensure all homes are maintained at an impeccable level of cleanliness and presentation
• Assist with packing/unpacking, laundry care, and wardrobe organization
• Support light table service, dinner setup, and in-home hospitality needs
• Provide valet support, including vehicle coordination and preparation
• Travel between residences as needed and support family events and gatherings
• Work closely with the Chief of Staff and Estate Manager as part of a coordinated household team
• Maintain a service-first mindset and contribute to a positive, collaborative household culture
• Handle tasks of all sizes with discretion, flexibility, and a proactive attitude
Qualifications
• Experience in 5-star luxury hotels, high-end hospitality, or private household service; European service experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• Warm, polished, and team-oriented demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
• Highly service-driven with excellent attention to detail and work ethic
• Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to travel and support varied household needs
• Open to junior to mid-level candidates who are highly trainable and eager to grow
• Strong ability to collaborate within a household team and take direction from leadership
Compensation
$150,000–$175,000 depending on experience
Benefits stipend provided until family benefits plan is established
