Design Assistant

Our client, a juniors sportswear company, is seeking an Athleisure Bag Design Assistant to join their team in New York to support a leading license!

Responsibilities:

  • Create and refine sketches and CAD designs.
  • Arrange and update the design wall with CADs to reflect current styles and revisions.
  • Assist in designing prints and patterns for new collections.
  • Develop mood boards and trend reports for team meetings and presentations.
  • Monitor and manage shipments, ensuring accurate tracking.
  • Receive, organize, and catalog incoming samples for reference and development.
  • Develop and maintain line sheets, keeping them updated with product changes.
  • Process and input sample requests for design and production teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to follow up and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in managing workload.
  • Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.



$55,000-$65,000 depending on experience

Full time in office.
