Design Assistant

Our client, a juniors sportswear company, is seeking an Athleisure Bag Design Assistant to join their team in New York to support a leading license!

Responsibilities:‍

Create and refine sketches and CAD designs.
Arrange and update the design wall with CADs to reflect current styles and revisions.
Assist in designing prints and patterns for new collections.
Develop mood boards and trend reports for team meetings and presentations.
Monitor and manage shipments, ensuring accurate tracking.
Receive, organize, and catalog incoming samples for reference and development.
Develop and maintain line sheets, keeping them updated with product changes.
Process and input sample requests for design and production teams.

Qualifications:‍

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Highly detail-oriented and organized, with strong multitasking abilities.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to follow up and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated and proactive in managing workload.
Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

$55,000-$65,000 depending on experience

Full time in office.
