Senior Designer

The ideal candidate will have experience designing junior apparel, a strong understanding of market trends, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.



Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Sales and Buyers to develop products aligned with customer needs and market trends.
  • Design trend-right apparel for the junior customer, with a focus on cut & sew knit categories.
  • Create CAD sketches and presentation materials for internal and customer meetings.
  • Conduct market research and competitive shopping, both online and in-store, across domestic and international markets.
  • Research and present seasonal trends in color, print, silhouette, fabrication, and styling.
  • Collaborate with costing teams to prepare recap charts and support customer projects.
  • Review proto samples, layouts, and lab dips, providing clear feedback and direction.
  • Participate in fittings alongside Technical Design and Production teams to ensure fit and quality standards are met.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of cut & sew knit fabrications, construction methods, and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of apparel design experience, preferably within junior apparel.
  • Strong knowledge of cut & sew knit product development and construction.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with major Off-price and Mid-tier retailers
