Project Manager, Merchandising Brand Updates

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Merchandising Project Manager to support the ongoing development of new product categories, trend-driven assortments, and elevated in-store experiences. This role plays a critical part in bringing brand updates to life across stores and digital channels by coordinating with cross-functional partners, external vendors, and visual merchandising teams.


This position is integral to delivering exceptional retail experiences by ensuring that brand updates, store fixtures, and merchandising directives are executed with precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the project management of brand updates across multiple categories, serving as the primary liaison for all cross-functional initiatives.
  • Maintain and manage daily update schedules, ensuring accuracy, timely edits, and alignment with project milestones.
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with brands and vendors, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Coordinate directly with fixture companies, graphic partners, and external vendors—distributing required files, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Review and approve planograms, instruction sheets, and dielines to ensure compliance with merchandising and in-store standards.
  • Lead weekly update meetings and conference calls with internal teams and external partners to drive alignment and on-time execution.
  • Upload final instructions, store tasks, tracking documents, and updates to the intranet in collaboration with Specialists.
  • Enforce updated in-store dates and adjust timelines as necessary when deadlines are missed.
  • Calculate weekly store workload and partner with operations teams to ensure accurate labor forecasting.
  • Participate in monthly store visits to review and execute updates.
  • Onboard new partners to merchandising operations standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Lead prototype reviews, assessing fixture functionality, operational feasibility, and in-store adaptability.
  • Collaborate on fixture development, store design directives, retrofits, and new store initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional strategies and planning cycles, providing input during annual and seasonal meetings.
  • Manage and enhance vendor relationships through the Vendor Scorecard program, identifying opportunities for improved service levels and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop deep fixture knowledge within assigned categories and flex across departments as needed to meet business demands.

  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and how visual merchandising enhances the customer experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing outside vendors and coordinating cross-functional workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
