Accounting Specialist
Are you a tech-savvy and detail-oriented accounting professional ready for their next challenge and growth opportunity? Our client is looking for dedicated Accounting Specialist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build their accounting career with a prominent firm that promotes from within.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accounts Payable & Expense Processing – Manage vendor invoices from coding through payment, process reimbursements, and reconcile credit card statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Treasury & Cash Management – Prepare and process checks, wires, deposits, and related reconciliations. Support daily cash monitoring and reporting to maintain accurate records across multiple entities.
• Financial Close Support – Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes by preparing reconciliations, allocations, and documentation for review.
• Reporting & Documentation – Generate holdings reports, upload positive pay check registers, and maintain electronic files to ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
• Compliance & Audit Support – Prepare 1099s, assist with tax analyses, and respond to audit requests with accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
• Ad-Hoc Projects – Partner with the broader finance team to support ongoing process improvements and special projects.
Must-Have Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in corporate accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable is required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or related field.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, and QuickBooks.
• Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to follow-ups and problem-solving.
