Senior Accountant

Our client, a consumer goods company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Bloomington, IL.

Responsibilities:
- Manage month- and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting.
- Oversee global fixed asset accounting (acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, compliance).
- Prepare financial disclosures, support statutory audits, and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and internal/external reporting requirements.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Support internal audits and ad-hoc financial projects.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- 4–5 years of accounting/reporting experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems a plus.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and effective under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
