Sous Chef - High End Restaurant Group

Our client, a high-volume, upscale restaurant group, is seeking a Sous Chef to join their team in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in quality and presentation
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Help manage inventory, ordering, and cost control
  • Step in to lead the kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a sous chef position
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
