In-House Studio Production Manager (Beauty)

We’re partnering with a fast-growing beauty brand to hire a hands-on Studio Production Manager/Art Director to lead their in-house content studio.


This is a high-impact role for someone who knows how to run a beauty studio at scale—while ensuring makeup and product are captured at the highest standard across e-commerce, campaign, and social.


Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Pay: 100-130k (DOE)
Location: Sherman Oaks - on site 3 days/week


What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end production across ecomm, campaign, and social shoots
• Lead day-to-day studio operations and workflow management
• Book and manage makeup artists, photographers, stylists, retouchers, and talent
• Partner closely with creatives to ensure makeup is captured accurately (lighting, angles, formats)
• Oversee casting, talent coordination, and on-set execution
• Manage shoot planning, timelines, budgets, and schedules
• Negotiate vendor + talent contracts, including usage rights
• Lead post-production workflows with a focus on color accuracy and retouching standards
• Maintain elevated, brand-right visual output across all content


What You Bring

• 5+ years of in-house beauty studio experience (required)
• Strong expertise in beauty production + makeup capture
• Proven experience managing HMU artists and creative teams
• Deep understanding of lighting, shooting, and producing beauty content for digital + ecomm
• Established network of beauty freelancers (HMU, photographers, retouchers)
• Experience negotiating contracts, rates, and usage rights
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple shoots simultaneously
