Store Manager (Fine Jewelry)

The person in this position is a high-level sales professional and expert guide, driving revenue by delivering personalized, luxurious service to all clients. They should specialize in cultivating client relationships, and providing in-depth knowledge on diamonds, gemstones, and custom designs, while guiding junior staff to reach individual and store sales goals.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:‍

• Achieve sales targets by building a loyal client base, offering personalized consultations for engagement, custom, or luxury pieces, and maintaining long-term follow-up.
• Offer in-depth knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, jewelry history, and trends. Greet customers warmly and provide an exceptional, personal shopping experience service
• Proactively identify and anticipate client needs.
• Maintain high-end store displays and assist with store opening/closing procedures.
• Display professionalism and sophistication.
• Meticulous approach to inventory, displays, and client follow-up
• Manage calendar and appointments
• Manage client jobs from start to finish
• Process sales through POS system
• Manage and train sales staff
• Assist owner with sales
• Attend offsite and after-hour events

Requirements:‍

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Graduated Gemologist (GG) Degree or Gemological (GIA) training preferred
• 3+ years prior retail experience in luxury goods or jewelry
• 3+ years prior management experience
• Emotional intelligence and customer relationship skills
• Sales and negotiation skills
• Exceptional time management
• Organization
• Detail oriented
• Self-motivated
• Professional communication via phone, email, text, and in-person
• Extremely comfortable with computers and proficient in MS Office Suite and POS systems, experience using Edge software a HUGE plus
