Security Manager
A growing Financial Services firm is seeking a Security Manager to oversee cybersecurity operations, risk management initiatives, and compliance programs across the organization. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Cybersecurity and will play a key role in strengthening the company’s security posture during a period of growth and acquisitions.
The selected candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Duties:
• Oversee enterprise vulnerability management, including identifying risks and coordinating remediation with IT teams
• Escalate critical vulnerabilities and track remediation progress
• Manage annual penetration testing for internal systems, infrastructure, and web applications
• Lead enterprise risk assessments and maintain security risk registers
• Develop, update, and maintain company-wide cybersecurity policies and procedures
• Drive employee security awareness initiatives and monitor policy compliance
• Oversee third-party cybersecurity risk management and vendor security reviews
• Maintain vendor risk registers and support vendor due diligence processes
• Evaluate security tools and identify opportunities to improve security controls and processes
• Develop security playbooks and incident response procedures
• Support integration of security systems during company acquisitions
• Serve as primary contact for external security audits and client security questionnaires
• Oversee security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and patching initiatives
• Lead investigations into suspicious activity and coordinate incident response
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
• Cybersecurity certification preferred (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or GIAC)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure security, CrowdStrike Falcon Complete, and Palo Alto Networks platforms
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management and security risk assessments
• Experience managing third-party vendor security risk programs
• Knowledge of financial services regulatory environments such as SEC, FINRA, and GLBA preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present security risks to executive leadership
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple security initiatives simultaneously
