Housekeeping Manager - Boutique Luxury Hotel
Our client, a boutique luxury hotel, is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to join their team in Langley, WA. This is a working leadership position responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations while leading and supporting the housekeeping team. This role has direct authority over housekeeping scheduling, inventory systems, vendor ordering, and operational process improvement. We are looking for someone who enjoys building systems that help a small team operate efficiently and consistently at a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily housekeeping operations, including assigning teams and inspecting rooms to brand standards
- Manage scheduling, labor efficiency, and operational systems while ensuring rooms are delivered on time
- Oversee inventory and vendor ordering, maintaining par levels for linens, cleaning supplies, and in-room amenities
- Coordinate closely with Front Desk, Innkeeper, Restaurant, Spa, Group Coordinator, and Maintenance teams
- Maintain quality audits, track performance, and manage corrections or re-cleans as needed
- Support hiring, training, coaching, and accountability for housekeeping team members
- Participate in daily team check-ins and the on-call leadership rotation (approx. two shifts per week)
- Assist with breakfast service, special events, laundry, or other operational needs as necessary
- Manage housekeeping systems, set room productivity standards, create deep cleaning schedules, and track room or equipment issues
- Foster a positive, solutions-oriented team culture while ensuring clear communication across departments
Requirements:
- 2+ years housekeeping leadership experience (boutique or luxury hotel preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage vendors and inventory
- Experience with hotel PMS systems (ResNexus or Cloudbeds a plus)
- Calm under pressure and able to work across multiple departments
- Physically able to lift, bend, stand for extended periods, and navigate stairs
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Enjoys guest interaction and delivering exceptional hospitality service
