Talent Acquisition & Human Resources Coordinator - Mid-Size Law Firm

A well-established, plaintiff-side trial firm is seeking a Talent Acquisition & Human Resources Coordinator to join its New York office.

The position reports to the Director of Human Resources and will lead full-cycle recruitment across legal and administrative functions, while providing operational HR support as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong sourcing capability, has full lifecycle recruiting experience, and sufficient HR exposure to support core compliance and onboarding functions.

Base salary: $75,000–$85,000 + OT + Bonus eligible + Benefits
Hours: 9:00am–5:30pm, Five days per week, on-site

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)
• Manage full-cycle recruitment for legal and administrative roles
• Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and position requirements
• Draft and post job descriptions
• Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and direct outreach
• Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews
• Coordinate and schedule interviews
• Manage candidate communications and ensure a professional experience
• Conduct reference checks
• Assist with offer preparation and compensation benchmarking
• Track recruiting metrics and maintain ATS accuracy

Human Resources Support
• Lead onboarding coordination, including IT partnership and orientation logistics
• Prepare and audit compliance documentation and new hire paperwork
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and reporting
• Support benefits administration and open enrollment coordination
• Maintain personnel files and employee records
• Provide administrative support on employee relations matters when required
• Assist with policy administration and compliance efforts
• Support performance review processes and other talent initiatives

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3+ years of full lifecycle talent acquisition experience required
• Demonstrated sourcing experience required
• 1–3 years of general HR experience preferred
• Law firm or professional services recruiting experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance standards
• Experience with ATS and HRIS systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously
• High degree of discretion and professionalism
