Director of Operations
Our client, a high-growth, creator-led media company, is seeking a strong leader to manage day-to-day operational execution and performance. The Director/VP of Operations is responsible for introducing structure, accountability, and operational rigor into a fast-moving environment—while preserving and enabling the creative vision that drives the brand.
As the operational leader, this individual will convert strategic vision into actionable plans, clarify ownership across the organization, and ensure the business operates efficiently without requiring constant founder oversight. The position offers significant growth potential for a high-performing leader.
Key Responsibilities
-Oversee operational execution across the organization, with the podcast/show serving as the primary business engine.
-Translate executive vision and priorities into structured roadmaps, timelines, and clearly defined accountability.
-Establish and maintain clear roles, decision rights, and operating processes to reduce ambiguity and improve team effectiveness.
-Drive accountability by setting performance expectations and addressing underperformance decisively and professionally.
-Provide hands-on HR leadership, including support with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and, when necessary, terminations.
-Manage external vendors, contractors, and operational partners in coordination with finance and legal stakeholders.
-Implement consistent operating rhythms, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics to ensure transparency and alignment.
-Elevate organizational standards of professionalism and execution discipline while protecting and enabling creative output.
-Escalate risks or challenges appropriately, presenting leadership with clear context and recommended solutions.
Qualifications
-7+ years of experience in operations, general management, or business leadership roles.
-Background in media, digital content, creator-led businesses, or other high-growth environments preferred.
-Strong execution mindset with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail.
-Comfortable partnering with high-profile talent and navigating strong personalities with professionalism and discretion
