Manager, Social Media Content

Our client, a fashion apparel group, is looking to add a Manager of Social Media Content to their team.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Must have a keen eye for visual storytelling, design principles, and photography/videography, along with copywriting skills that capture the brand’s unique voice. The role requires a passionate, social-native, continuously updated on latest social media technologies, platform features, cultural shifts and fashion trends to ensure brands remain relevant and innovative.

SOCIAL CONTENT STRATEGY PLANNING
* Develops and manages seasonal content calendars, emphasis on Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, X, and YouTube.
* Write captions for posts across all platforms, crafted in the brands’ respective voice and style guide
* Directs social programming, with strong perspective on how to maximize brand impact across social platforms
* Converts hero campaign and editorial/POS assets into social-first storytelling
* Provides direction, feedback and approvals on social assets from shoots
* Sources social-first creative concepts from external agency partners to compliment seasonal messaging
* Manages on-set capture of social assets and behind-the-scenes content, inclusive of directing creative partners and self- production of bespoke social assets
* Strategizes with marketing team counterparts on how seasonal campaign concepts can be maximized in the social space, including social-first brand collaborations

CONTENT PRODUCTION
* Generates high-quality platform-specific content.
* Produces and curates social-first assets outside of hero campaigns, including concept, storyboarding, and third-party briefs
* Manages content development with internal production teams, external agencies, or self-production.
* Manages self-produced content shoots, inclusive of location scouting, hiring of production teams and talent casting, photo video capture, editing and color grading
* Secures third-party creative partners/agencies to create bespoke social content assets, including CGI, 3D renderings and other social-first animated assets.
* Directs social-first content capture of brand activations and global outdoor, including retouching, color grading, video editing

PERFORMANCE + REPORTING
* Provides data-driven insights to guide content strategy and maximize audience engagement, consistently build social following across all active platforms
* Monitors social performance in real time across all key platforms
* Tests new creative approaches and validates with data-first analytics

QUALIFICATIONS
* 3+ years of social media content development experience
* Global Fashion/Retail brand experience required
* Bachelor's degree in related area
* Deep understanding of major social media platforms and analytic suites (Meta, TikTok, Dash Hudson, etc)
* Production experience, photo and editing skills
* Ability to apply data-driven insights to long-term creative strategy
* Strong multi-tasking skills being able to work nimbly in a fast-pasted environment, progressing multiple projects for multiple brands forward at same time
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate across diverse teams
*Openness to incorporate AI into daily tasks to streamline workflow
