Location Midtown West, 4 days in office/1 remote

Overview
A growing global technology company is seeking an experienced, grounded, and highly organized Office Manager / People Experience Manager to help establish and shape its new U.S. hub in New York City. This role is central to building the office’s identity, rhythm, and culture as the company expands its U.S. presence.

In the early stages, this individual will take a hands-on approach to setting up the NYC workspace, coordinating closely with leadership abroad, and ensuring a polished, well-run environment for a steady flow of visiting executives and partners. As the office becomes more established, the role will broaden into a more balanced cross-office operations and people experience function. This is a unique opportunity for someone who brings warmth, steadiness, and operational excellence—and who can create a welcoming, organized, and high-functioning environment for a small but dynamic U.S. team.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to)
Office Setup & Operations
• Lead the setup and daily management of the NYC office, including vendors, contracts, supplies, and workspace organization
• Serve as primary contact for building management, IT support, and service vendors
• Coordinate visit logistics for frequent executives and guests
• Provide light oversight and occasional travel support for SF and future DC offices
Hybrid Workplace & Technology
• Manage desk/room booking systems and space planning
• Ensure conference rooms and A/V setups run smoothly; handle basic troubleshooting
• Oversee equipment and onboarding logistics for hybrid and remote employees
• Maintain proficiency in collaboration tools and identify workflow efficiencies
People Experience & Culture
• Create a warm, organized, and productive in-office environment
• Plan anchor days, workshops, and team gatherings for U.S.-based employees
• Liaise with HQ teams abroad, communicating U.S. workplace needs and updates
• Support a cohesive, positive culture across all U.S. offices
Administrative, Financial & Compliance Support
• Manage onboarding details, office budgets, invoices, and vendor contracts
• Provide light scheduling or travel support to senior leadership as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and workplace regulations

Ideal Candidate
• 3+ years in Office Management, Workplace Operations, or People Operations
• Comfortable partnering with global teams and navigating cross-time-zone communication
• Highly organized, mature, and proactive, with excellent follow-through
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—clear, warm, and professional
• Tech-savvy and confident with workplace tools
• Emotionally intelligent, approachable, discreet, and trusted by colleagues at all levels
• Solutions-oriented, steady under pressure, and adept at shifting priorities
• Able to bring structure during the office buildout phase and adapt as needs evolve
