Import Coordinator
Our client, an apparel manufacture specialized in outerwear and performance apparel, is seeking an experienced Import Coordinator to manage shipping and import operations based out of their NYC location. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and well-versed in garment imports, ensuring all shipments and documentation are accurate and timely.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of shipping and logistics for imported garments.
- Manage FOB pricing and purchase orders (POs).
- Prepare schedules to ensure shipments and documentation are complete and compliant.
- Review and maintain in-house Excel costing sheets and verify documents for entry.
- Work closely with internal teams to support smooth import processes.
- Ensure compliance with garment import regulations, including HTS numbers, bills of lading, and hanger checks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-5+ years of experience in import coordination, preferably within the apparel/garment industry.
- Strong familiarity with garment import processes and related documentation.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced in using costing sheets.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days per week.
Compensation:
$40,000 – $65,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
