Design Director - Contemporary Womenswear

A contemporary women's dresses brand is looking for a Design Director!

Responsibilities:

Lead the creative direction and design development across four seasonal collections annually, ensuring consistency in brand identity, quality, and innovation.
Oversee the full product lifecycle from initial inspiration and sketching through to final production and delivery.
Manage and mentor a team of designers, fostering collaboration and creative growth.
Create and manage detailed tech packs and communicate effectively with production teams to ensure flawless execution.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to maintain timelines, budgets, and brand standards.


Qualifications:

6-8+ years experience in a senior or lead design role within the contemporary RTW and/or dresses
Sustainability experience.
Strong understanding of the design-to-production process and technical garment construction.
Demonstrated leadership and the ability to inspire creative teams.
Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.
A portfolio that reflects a modern, sophisticated design sensibility.
