Nanny - Houston & Portland
A warm, active, and family-oriented household in Houston, Texas is seeking a bilingual Full-Time Nanny to join their team in caring for their energetic twin boys. The family splits their time between Houston and Portland, Oregon, where they spend the warmer months (May through early October). Housing is provided in Portland, with a private off-site apartment shared between the nanny team.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, structured, and creative—someone who thrives in an active home, enjoys working with equally engaged parents, and takes pride in building a fun and educational routine. Both parents are athletes and lead a healthy, hands-on lifestyle, so they seek a nanny who can match that energy and bring a sense of curiosity and excitement to each day. The children are bright, affectionate, and active, and the family is looking for a professional who can foster growth through thoughtful routines, gentle guidance, and play-based learning.
This role is deeply interactive and calls for someone confident in managing daily activities, coordinating outings, and maintaining structure. Spanish fluency is non-negotiable, as the family hopes to continue reinforcing language learning at home. The nanny will also assist in creating educational opportunities throughout the day and may help with homeschool-style instruction. A background in early education or teaching is highly valued, and formal credentials are considered a bonus.
The position involves driving the children to local activities using a family car, organizing their daily routines, and collaborating with other household staff. A full-time chef handles all meals, though light snack preparation may be required. There is a housekeeper on the team, but the nanny may be asked to help with kids laundry and keep their areas tidy and organized. Parents work from home and are very involved, creating a collaborative dynamic where communication, trust, and mutual respect are key.
