Human Resources Generalist
Our client is well known yachting firm who is hiring a Human Resources Generalist. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing personnel operations, managing the full hiring and onboarding process, and supporting employees with both personal and professional matters.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS INCLUDE
• Manage the recruitment cycle: draft job postings, source resumes, conduct prescreens, and coordinate interviews with managers
• Maintain and update employee handbook and Policies & Procedures manual
• Lead onboarding for new hires
• Oversee employee relations, including progressive discipline and terminations
• Maintain and update U.S. organizational chart
• Process multi-state payroll and track employee PTO requests
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate employee events and recognition programs
• Oversee monthly bill reconciliation and workers’ compensation administration
• Maintain HRIS and payroll records, including payroll tax compliance
• Support office administration needs
• Manage company cell phone program and vendor site
REQUIREMENTS
• B.A./B.S. in Human Resources or Business Administration
• 5 years of corporate HR Generalist experience
• 4 years of payroll experience (ADP preferred)
• Compensation experience preferred
SKILLS
• Strong computer skills (Mac); proficiency with Google Suite required
• HRIS experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Driven, proactive, and self-motivated
• Exceptional follow-up and organizational skills
