Pattern Maker - Luxury Womenswear Label
Our client, a luxury womenswear label, is looking for a Pattern Maker to join their Miami, FL team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate designer sketches and technical specifications into accurate first patterns
- Create and modify patterns manually and/or using CAD software
- Conduct fittings, make pattern corrections, and ensure proper garment fit, balance, and construction
- Ensure patterns are production-ready with correct seam allowances, grainlines, notches, and other specifications
- Maintain organized pattern archives (digital and/or physical) for each season and style
- Grade patterns into various sizes according to the brand's sizing standards
- Work within the established timeline to meet design calendar deadlines
- Assist in the development of tech packs when required
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of pattern making experience in the fashion industry
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and different fabric behaviors
- Proficiency in pattern-making software such as Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, or CLO 3D
- Ability to drape and create patterns by hand is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of fit and proportion
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of garment grading, sewing techniques, and production processes
- Fashion design degree or relevant technical training preferred
