Part-time Household Assistant

A private family is seeking a Household Assistant to support a wide range of household operations and day-to-day tasks. This part-time, in-person role is best suited for someone with prior experience in UHNW households or personal assisting who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and enjoys being hands-on across multiple responsibilities.



***Please note this is an in-person role based in Portola Valley, with occasional travel to other Bay Area properties between San Francisco and the Peninsula.



Responsibilities:
- Oversee and carry out household upkeep including light housekeeping, laundry, organization, and inventory management
- Manage vendor relationships, including supervising cleaning teams and coordinating property maintenance
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail across multiple properties
- Assist with event preparation, table setting, floral/vendor coordination, and cleanup
- Support lifestyle needs such as errands, returns, pet care coordination, and vehicle care
- Conduct walkthroughs of residences, capturing notes and communicating priorities to the broader team
- Handle mail, PO boxes, dry cleaning, gifting, and shipping logistics
- Attend weekly team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in executive housekeeping, personal assisting, or household management (UHNW or private household experience strongly preferred)
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Tech-savvy with comfort using task management and property management tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with flexibility and discretion
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with family members, staff, and vendors
- Hands-on, collaborative, and detail-oriented mindset with a “no task too small” attitude
- Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism
