Hedge Fund Operations Associate | Trading & Finance

A boutique investment firm is seeking a detail-oriented Hedge Fund Operations Associate to join their fast-paced, collaborative team. This role is critical to ensuring smooth operational workflows across trade settlements, cash management, and system oversight. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, tech-savvy, and possess strong knowledge of Enfusion, as this is an essential part of the position.

This is a high-growth opportunity. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the CFO, trading team, and investor relations, gaining exposure to multiple areas of the business. The right candidate will be a proactive problem solver with excellent follow-through and a team-first mentality.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Operations
• Perform daily AUM checks and ensure accuracy across accounts
• Reconcile and settle all trades, including swap trades, and manage cash movements
• Identify and correct booking errors and work with prime brokers to resolve position mismatches
• Manage allocations and cash balances with swap vendors
• Handle corporate actions and ensure proper trade documentation

Enfusion & Technology Support
• Serve as the in-house Enfusion expert and primary point of contact for system troubleshooting and enhancements
• Assist the trading desk with trade booking, reporting, and operational support within Enfusion
• Provide support to CFO and CCO with General Ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and compliance reporting
• Troubleshoot technology issues with external vendors (e.g., Abacus)

Compliance & Reporting
• Assist with compliance checks, including trading reports and personal trading statements
• Prepare daily and weekly operational reports, including portfolio meeting summaries and end-of-day reconciliations
• Maintain and update compensation sheets and internal data trackers
Investor Relations & Research
• Assist with investor documentation, onboarding, and general office administrative tasks
• Support IR with Excel-based reporting and ad-hoc requests
• Monitor social media platforms (TikTok, Reddit, Twitter) for actionable news and track economic data in Excel

Miscellaneous & Ad-Hoc Support
• Assist with office organization, file maintenance, and cleanup of archived documents
• Run errands as needed (e.g., groceries, lunch/coffee)
• Maintain office supplies and cleanliness, including kitchen upkeep
• Handle incoming calls professionally, take accurate messages, and ensure timely follow-up

Qualifications

• Experience with Enfusion is strongly encouraged
• Strong understanding of trade operations including reconciliation, settlement, and cash management
• Familiarity with ISDA products, listed options, and related processes is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage data-driven reporting
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Collaborative team player with a proactive, flexible approach
