Senior Human Resources Director

Our client, a growing investment and development firm, is seeking a Senior Director of Human Resources to lead the company’s people strategy while overseeing day-to-day HR operations. This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for building programs that attract, retain, and develop top talent while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. The position is based in Los Angeles, CA, and reports directly to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and execution of HR strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
• Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention.
• Manage payroll, benefits, HRIS systems, and relationships with external providers.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across multiple locations.
• Drive performance management processes that support employee growth and business objectives.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership support across the organization.
• Develop and implement training and development initiatives.
• Partner with senior leadership to foster a positive, engaged, and values-driven culture.

Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience across core functional areas.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certifications (SPHR/PHR) preferred.
• Experience in fast-paced, growth-oriented industries strongly valued.
• Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems; Paylocity experience a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
• Strong track record of building effective HR programs that drive employee engagement and organizational success.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on execution in a dynamic environment.
