Design Director - Baby

Our client, an apparel company, is looking for a Baby Design Director to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities

  • Direct the creative vision and seasonal assortments for baby apparel (girls, boys, and unisex), ensuring trend-right, commercial designs.
  • Partner with sales teams to deliver buyer and trend presentations, supporting line adoption and retailer engagement.
  • Collaborate with licensing partners and cross-functional teams to develop cohesive, brand-right collections.
  • Integrate off-price strategies and baby accessories into assortments to drive growth across multiple channels.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of design and merchandising experience in baby apparel; strong knowledge of both boys’ and girls’ categories.
  • Proven experience presenting to buyers and working directly with retail accounts.
  • Licensing and off-price channel experience required; baby accessories experience a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and trend analysis skills with ability to balance creativity and business needs.
