Chef de Cuisine - Elegant Restaurant

Our client, an elegant restaurant, is seeking a dynamic and talented Chef de Cuisine to join their team in New York, NY! The Chef de Cuisine will act as the culinary leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen's operations and culinary excellence.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the culinary team in executing all dishes with precision, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Stay abreast of current culinary trends and incorporate them into the menu.
- Direct all daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability and adhere to budgets.
- Provide continuous coaching and mentoring to kitchen staff, nurturing their skills and professional development.
- Work closely with restaurant management and Owners on budgeting and financial planning for the kitchen.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients while balancing costs.
- Monitor food costs and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in a fine dining setting.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience required.
- Culinary arts degree or equivalent experience and training.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse culinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
