Executive Chef - Luxurious Boutique Hotel

Our client, a luxurious boutique hotel, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead their back-of-house team in Langley, WA. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, leading the culinary direction, and support the broader hospitality standards upheld by the front and back-of-house leadership. We’re looking for a thoughtful, experienced Executive Chef to take ownership of the culinary program at this property, shape a refined food program, and collaborate on the next phase of this property’s growth. Responsibilities: - Lead the back-of-house team with a hands on-, proactive approach. - Train kitchen staff and uphold high standards in culinary execution, conduct, and professionalism. - Provide menu context and culinary input to support wine pairings and bar offerings, when requested. - Build rotating, seasonal prix-fixe menus using local and regional ingredients. - Set revenue goals and implement strategies to meet them through thoughtful menu design and execution. - Design menus with profitability and quantity in mind. - Maintain audit-ready standards at all times. - Work in partnership with the ownership and FOH managers to execute cohesive guest-facing programming. Qualifications: - Fine-dining culinary background, with Michelin-caliber experience required. - Strong understanding of food costs, labor models, and operational efficiency. - Ability to manage a small, cross-trained BOH team and maintain food cost discipline. - A clear communicator and mentor who builds systems and develops people. - Calm under pressure and collaborative in approach.
