Senior Attorney/Of Counsel
Our client, a distinguished boutique construction law firm, is hiring for a dedicated Transactional Construction Senior Attorney/Of Counsel to join their team! The firm is nationally recognized and has a long-standing history of excellence in legal service, providing expert counsel to clients across the construction industry.
The successful candidate will have 6+ years of relevant transactional construction experience and be admitted to practice law in the state of New York.
This role is hybrid, 2-3 days on-site in their office in Midtown East. Can consider fully remote DOE.
Compensation: $200-275k base salary + discretionary bonus & competitive benefits
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction and related transactional documents
- Provide legal guidance on construction project agreements, procurement, and related matters
- Collaborate with team members to develop workable solutions for clients’ transactional needs
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all contractual documentation
- Maintain and build strong client relationships through effective communication and legal counsel
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in construction transactional law
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar
- Proven ability to insightfully draft and negotiate complex contracts and agreements
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
