Maintenance Mechanic II (On-Site)

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic II to support production operations by performing advanced troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment. This role is essential to maintaining equipment reliability and supporting plant goals related to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Perform and support preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance
  • Lead or participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to diagnose issues
  • Accurately complete maintenance records and work orders in CMMS
  • Fabricate parts when necessary and support 5S/shop organization standards
  • Collaborate across operations, engineering, and quality teams to resolve equipment issues
  • Ensure all work follows safety protocols, including Lockout Tag Out (LOTO) procedures

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience required
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and controls systems
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications a plus
  • Ability to work independently and mentor junior technicians
  • Familiarity with 460V 3-phase and 110V control systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CMMS software (MP2 or similar)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Exposure to mechanical equipment, loud noise, fumes, and raw materials including allergens
  • Must be able to lift up to 33 lbs, and stand, bend, crawl, or climb throughout the shift
  • Requires full visual range and manual dexterity
