Maintenance Mechanic I (On-Site)

A growing manufacturing company in the Santa Clarita Valley is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic I to join their team. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting daily production operations to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production equipment
  • Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with changeovers, part fabrication, and shop maintenance
  • Document all maintenance activities in CMMS (MP2)
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and equipment is running efficiently
  • Collaborate with operators, engineers, and quality teams to meet production goals

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits (460 VAC/110 VAC), and fluid power
  • Experience using hand and power tools; ability to troubleshoot basic PLC systems is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and maintenance software (MP2) a plus

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 10–50 lbs and work in a standing position for extended periods
  • Comfortable working around production equipment, mechanical parts, and allergens
  • Regular exposure to varying temperatures, moderate noise levels, and industrial environments
