Corporate Events Manager

Our client, a boutique investment banking advisory firm with offices in New York, San Francisco, London, and Paris, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Corporate Events Manager. Located in Midtown Manhattan, the firm has a collaborative, high-performance culture and is rapidly expanding with over 350 professionals currently in the New York office.



Work Model: Full-time, Onsite (5 days/week)

Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with flexibility as needed

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 base salary (DOE) + Discretionary Bonus + Full Benefits + 401(k) (no match)

Travel: 2– 3 U.S.-based events per year


With 4–5+ years of experience in corporate event management, the ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to everything from national conferences and client-facing functions to internal celebrations, team offsites, and executive-level meetings.



The ideal candidate will:

• Be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

• Take initiative and ownership from event concept through final execution and post-event analysis

• Demonstrate creativity and a strong visual sense, with an eye for brand alignment and quality

• Have a proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, and review contracts effectively

• Excel in a fast-paced, client-service-driven environment with high standards of professionalism

• Be responsive and available outside traditional hours when event timelines require timely communication



Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute key firmwide events, overseeing end-to-end logistics, vendor relations, budgets, and on-site coordination

• Organize and manage internal functions such as holiday parties, staff retreats, offsites, and leadership meetings

• Handle daily in-office event logistics, including catering, A/V setup, meeting materials, and space prep

• Source and manage branded promotional items and maintain inventory

• Develop detailed documentation including budgets, timelines, production schedules, and post-event recaps

• Partner with senior stakeholders and legal on contract terms, approvals, and event goals

• Track and analyze event metrics including cost-per-attendee and year-over-year trends

• Work closely with accounts payable on vendor payments, deposits, and reconciliations

• Travel to key U.S. events several times per year to ensure seamless execution



Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• 4–5+ years of hands-on experience managing corporate events or related projects

• Track record of independently running high-touch, large-scale events from planning to completion

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and vendors

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

• Comfortable reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts

• Must be comfortable working full-time onsite in Midtown Manhattan and checking communications after hours when needed

• Willingness to travel domestically for events (approx. 2–3 times per year)
