Pastry Chef - Notable Restaurant Group
Our client, a notable upscale and high-volume restaurant group in the Boston, MA area is looking for a Pastry Chef to join their team full-time to help support dessert and pastry production for two of their concepts. This Pastry Chef will partner directly with the Executive Pastry Chef who is based in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
- Work as the right hand, in conjunction with Executive Pastry Chef.
- In charge of production of all pastries for two different restaurant concepts.
- Help with the execution of the dessert menu at both properties.
- Ensure inventory counts are correct.
- Make pastry and dessert products daily, ensuring consistency.
- Support all menu changes and additions.
- Provide feedback to Executive Pastry Chef on how products are selling.
Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years of previous experience working as a Pastry Chef in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
- In-depth knowledge of desserts, pastries, and baking techniques.
- Excellent pastry production skills, including doughs, batters, fillings, and decorations.
- Attention to detail and precision in plating and garnishing desserts.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
