Junior Paralegal – Multi-Practice Law Firm

A top-tier law firm is seeking a meticulous and resourceful Legal Assistant to support its General Counsel team in the area of discovery. This is a dynamic opportunity for a professional with a strong grasp of legal processes and an eye for detail to contribute meaningfully to high-stakes matters at one of the most respected firms in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support discovery efforts by organizing, reviewing, and maintaining legal files and databases.
  • Download and archive documents from extranet sites using established naming conventions.
  • Create and manage Excel spreadsheets to organize and analyze legal data.
  • Proofread legal briefs, correspondence, and memoranda with a keen eye for accuracy and clarity.
  • Draft routine communications and assist in the preparation of legal documents.
  • Conduct basic document review and assist in light legal research as needed.
  • Utilize electronic research tools and collaborate with vendors for factual development.
  • Manage updates to case and document tracking systems.
  • Support departmental initiatives and provide assistance on special projects and tasks as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience within a law firm or legal department, particularly in discovery or litigation support.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with legal document management systems a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
