Under-Butler – UHNW Home

An esteemed private household is seeking a refined and service-oriented Household Assistant to work directly under the Head Butler. This multifaceted role requires a polished professional with a passion for hospitality, a strong sense of discretion, and the flexibility to travel with the family between their primary and seasonal residences.

Note: This individual will be traveling with the family periodically to New York / New Jersey every year throughout summer (June, July, August, & September)

Key Responsibilities:

• Formal Service & Event Support: Deliver impeccable service for formal meals and events—setting refined tablescapes, assisting with gourmet food and wine service, and upholding the highest standards of presentation and etiquette.
• Guest Services: Provide a warm, tailored welcome for all guests and oversee their comfort throughout their stay, ensuring a seamless and gracious experience.
• Travel Support: Travel with the family to New York and New Jersey each summer (June–September), supporting daily operations and maintaining continuity across properties.
• Vendor & Inventory Management: Coordinate with vendors and assist in sourcing top-tier products and services. Monitor inventory to ensure household essentials are always well-stocked.
• Laundry & Wardrobe Management: Support the care and organization of luxury wardrobes, including laundry, ironing, steaming, packing, and dry cleaning.
• Pet Care: Oversee the care of household dogs, including feeding, walking, grooming appointments, and vet visits, especially when the principals are away.
• Floral & Aesthetic Maintenance: Create and manage elegant floral arrangements to elevate living and dining spaces.
• Kitchen & Cleaning Assistance: Assist in maintaining clean and organized kitchens, support deep cleaning efforts, and handle minor household repairs as needed.
• Security & Emergency Readiness: Monitor home security systems and remain on call for household emergencies.
• Errands & Shopping: Run errands and assist with personal and household shopping with care and efficiency.
• Transportation Coordination: Collaborate with the Family Assistant, pilots, and yacht captains to coordinate travel logistics. Assist with scheduling and provide occasional driving services.

Ideal Candidate:

• 2–5+ years of experience in a high-end private residence or luxury hospitality setting.
• Exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and service etiquette.
• Comfortable supporting formal service, events, and day-to-day household management.
• Discreet, polished, and emotionally intelligent with the ability to anticipate needs.
• Flexible travel schedule, with availability to reside in NY/NJ each summer.
• Pet-friendly and experienced with luxury wardrobe care.
• Tech-savvy with working knowledge of home systems, security tech, and scheduling tools.
