Digital Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a skilled Digital Marketing Specialist or Manager to join a fast-paced, mission-driven team supporting an innovative consumer brand in the lifestyle, martial arts, and apparel space. This role will be focused primarily on email marketing strategy and execution, with the opportunity to contribute across broader e-commerce functions, including campaign planning, product merchandising, and conversion optimization. The ideal candidate is both analytically driven and creatively inclined, with a strong understanding of customer behavior and a deep familiarity with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu culture.


Type: Temp-to-hire

Location: On-site in Torrance, CA

Salary: $30 – $45/hour (DOE)


Key Responsibilities:

Email Marketing

  • Build and manage high-performing email campaigns and automated flows (welcome series, abandoned cart, win-back, etc.)
  • Maintain list hygiene, segmentation, and audience targeting strategies
  • Write email copy and subject lines aligned with brand tone and campaign objectives
  • Analyze performance metrics (open/click/conversion) and run A/B tests to optimize performance
  • Make light edits to visuals using Adobe Photoshop to support email content

E-Commerce Operations

  • Manage daily operations across Shopify sites, including product uploads, site content updates, and promotional calendars
  • Conduct regular QA of product pages and implement SEO best practices
  • Support conversion rate optimization via UX improvements, A/B testing, and upsell strategies
  • Monitor analytics platforms (GA4, Klaviyo, Shopify) to inform strategy and identify performance gaps

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with creative, customer service, and merchandising teams to align on messaging and ensure a seamless user experience
  • Troubleshoot site and customer support issues tied to e-commerce systems
  • Collaborate on seasonal campaigns and special promotions across all three brands
  • Share insights with internal stakeholders to support content marketing and product development

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in email marketing, ideally within e-commerce
  • Proficiency with Klaviyo (or similar platforms such as Mailchimp, Omnisend)
  • Experience writing engaging marketing copy and optimizing customer journeys
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop skills for editing email visuals
  • Familiarity with Shopify and hands-on experience with online store management
  • Understanding of SEO, GA4 analytics, CRO, and e-commerce UX best practices
  • Strong project management, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • A genuine understanding of and enthusiasm for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is strongly preferred
