Executive Litigation Legal Assistant
A prestigious and rapidly growing law firm with a reputation for excellence and a commitment to providing top-notch legal services to clients is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant to support the Managing Partner. This is a special opportunity to partner with a dynamic leader in the legal field who is highly accomplished, kind and well-respected.
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating various activities for our Managing Partner. This includes scheduling meetings, overseeing projects, and efficiently handling client interactions and document production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Management: Coordinate and manage the complex schedule of our Managing Partner, including meetings, appointments, and deliverables.
- Correspondence: Independently prepare, review, and handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence, including phone calls, emails, and legal documents, maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and internal personnel, delivering a high level of customer service.
- Travel Coordination: Arrange and oversee travel arrangements to ensure optimal time management and punctuality.
- Expense Reports: Process complex expense reports accurately using the Firm's expense reporting software.
- File Management: Open, develop, and maintain organized client files and administrative materials.
- Billing Support: Assist with timekeeping and billing activities, generating initial drafts and reviewing billable activity.
- Liaison: Act as a professional liaison between the Managing Partner, Firm Management, and external contacts.
- Legal Practice: Manage various aspects of legal practice, including handling complex e-filings in state and federal courts.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a legal or business field is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of legal experience supporting a top-level executive in a law firm
- Experience interfacing with high-level stakeholders
- Must have litigation experience
- Superb written/oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service attitude.
- Flexibility to work overtime as necessary.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
